Wedding

Tudor Place Historic House and Garden offers a unique and intimate setting for your important events. All guests at Tudor Place events are encouraged to tour the Landmark house containing fine furniture, silver, porcelains, etc. and objects originally owned by George and Martha Washington. 

The gardens at Tudor Place retain the original expanse of green lawns and plantings developed by the Peter family including a 200 year old ellipse with boxwood from George and Martha Washington's home at Mount Vernon. A distinctly Southern landscape, a canopy of white pines, American holly and Magnolias surround garden visitors.  Seasonable displays of color, such as heirloom roses, Kousa dogwoods, crape myrtles, lilies, hosta and hydrangeas add to the garden's exquisite beauty.

Garden Rental - Cocktails, Lunches or Dinners

Up to 50 guests $2,500
51 to 100 guests $6,000
101 to 200 guests $7,500
201 to 500 guests $8,500

A tent is encouraged for groups of 40 or more.
For groups of less than 40 an indoor location is available in the event of rain.
Valet or shuttle bus service is required for groups of 75 or more.

Weddings: $2,500

Weddings are limited to 70 guests due to zoning restrictions.
A tent is encouraged for groups of 40 or more.
An indoor location is available in the event of rain.
Photos in the garden are permitted before and after the ceremony.

Picnics in the Garden: $150/hour

Picnics are available for groups of 24 or less.
An indoor location is available in the event of rain.
Pre-packed or cooked meals provided by the renter.
No cooking, catering, or meal preparation is permitted on site.
Tudor Place will set up tables and chairs for your group.
Advance reservations are required.

Meetings: $150/hour

Professional meetings are held in the administration building for groups of 25 or less.

Private Teas: $33/person

Enjoy a traditional Victorian tea in Tudor Place's enchanting historic rooms or garden. We'll present a lighthearted history of tea before serving a traditional Victorian tea, complete with tea sandwiches, scones, and petite deserts. Guests can enjoy a variety of historic tea blends.
Includes tour of historic mansion or garden.

Birthday Parties

Museum Members $265 (up to 10 children including birthday child)
Non-members $335 (up to 10 children including birthday child)
This fee includes a family level membership ($80)
Tudor Place offers unique and exciting birthday parties for children ages 3-12. Our 2-hour parties include a guide, a hands-on tour of the museum or garden, crafts, games, and even a gift for the birthday child! Choose from three different themes to make your child's birthday unique!

Important Information for all events
• Limited onsite parking is available for caterers and event organizers
• All events must end by 10 pm
• Valet/shuttle bus service is required for groups of more than 75
• NO red wine, smoking, pets, candles or any source of open flame.
• NO loud or amplified music. Stringed instruments only.
