Tudor Place

Teas

Elegant Tudor Place teas satisfy the mind and the appetite – a lovely way to relax with friends or family! Teas can be paired with house or garden tours for private groups of 15 to 35 people. Occasional public teas, when scheduled, appear on our program calendar. (Other private programs, such as workshops, can be arranged as available; to discuss, contact Courtney Bryce, 202.580.7331.)

Get social with early America’s favorite beverage

Tea and its rituals have been enjoyed at Tudor Place for 200 years. Continue the tradition with a private group tea for 15-35 colleagues, family, or other guests. Your party will enjoy an informative house or garden tour coupled with an elegant Victorian tea party in the 1867 Dower House. Afterward, enjoy the landscaped gardens at your leisure.

Full service from friendly professionals

Teas can be scheduled at your convenience, any day of the week, for groups of 15 to 35 persons at $35 per person. Teas include a guided tour of the historic house (or garden, if preferred) and a full-service party consisting of scones, finger sandwiches, and desserts, served on fine porcelain with a selection of freshly brewed teas.

Before or after tea: Enjoy shopping and historic neighborhoods

It's easy to pair your Tudor Place visit with shopping, dining, or just strolling in historic neighborhoods of Georgetown and, only blocks away, nearby Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom, and other D.C. neighborhoods. Browse the Museum Shop and the charming boutiques, galleries, and cafes of Book Hill just around the corner. Or stroll down Wisconsin Avenue to explore Georgetown's bustling shopping streets and restaurants, the picturesque C&O Canal, and the Potomac riverfront.
