or phone, 202.965.0400. Guided tours of the historic house begin at the top of the hour. The last tour begins at 3 p.m., and Visitor Center and garden close at 4. Same day tickets are available onsite, online sales cut off at midnight the day prior.

Special Focus tours and Curator Talks & Tours are also available by reservation
for groups of 15 to 45 people.
With advance notice, the first floor of the historic house can be made accessible for wheelchairs and others. There is no disabled access to the mansion’s upper floors. (A book of photographs is available for review.)
The Garden is accessible from the city sidewalk (without steps). Its surfaces consist of grassy areas and paths laid with pea gravel, flagstone, bricks, and stones set in grass.
